eat a rainbow

By including all the colors of the rainbow from fruits and vegetables, you are ensuring that your body is receiving all the nutrients and color energy it needs to stay healthy and balanced. Color in our food shows us the value of that food. For example, yellow and orange fruits and vegetables (citrus fruits, squash, papaya, for example) are abundant in vitamins C and A. Green veggies and fruits (kale, spinach, kiwi, avocado) are high in vitamins K, B, and E. Purple produce on the other hand (eggplant, red cabbage, grapes) are high in vitamins C and K.

Like everything in life, balance and variation bring us everything we need. Our mission here on ‘Create your Color Story’ is to explore the benefits of including each of the colors in our diet and share recipes to help us all enjoy eating a rainbow on a daily basis.

Explore the color tabs below for some eye candy fruits and vegetables in each color and scroll down (or click here) for blog posts all about the benefits of colorful food and eating a rainbow.
