Hi everyone and welcome to week 1 of our free creative color videos for Color Therapy Month.
In this week’s video, I show you how I created my Lotus flower color wheel. I hope this inspires you to create your own color wheel. if you would like some more inspiration, please check out my Pinterest board here. (or below)
Step #1 – Draw a circle or shape you would like your color wheel to be – be inventive! You can draw a circle, flower, mandala……
Step #2 – Pencil in where the colors go if you need to. You can create a wheel with just the 3 primary colors or as many sections as you like to show how the color wheel expands. If you would like a rough guide as to where the colors fall or want to add tones or other aspects into your color wheel. This can include:
– Primary, secondary and tertiary colors – more info here
– Hues, Tints and Tones – more info here
Step #3 – Gather your colored papers. These can be from magazines, collage papers or any source of papers you have. I like to keep my colored papers in separate folders.
STEP #4 – Have fun with creating your collaged color wheel!
I would love to see what you create! So please do post your image directly to ‘A Year of Color’ Facebook Group.
The next video will be posted next Monday! Sign up to our ‘Year of Color‘ list to get a year of color prompts to your inbox and a free Rainbow meditation kit and join our Color Community!
